Japanese Baseball Cards Checklist & Price Guide, Vintage Edition 3.0 has assigned a scarcity factor of R4 to this rookie card of Mr. Giants, Shigeo Nagashima.  It one of his scarcest rookie issues, as fewer than ten copies are known to exist. Nagashima's name in English and Japanese, and the Heibon logo appear at lower right.

Nagashima's debut in Japan Pro Baseball was possibly the most anticipated of all time for any player. The former Rikkio U. star didn't disappoint, batting .305 with 29 homers in 1958. That performance was just the start of an amazing career. Blank backed card.
