This card is one of two different JBR 76 cards depicting The God of Batting. We believe that this portrait card was printed in 1949, while the card in the previous lot was printed in 1948, but we are not certain. In 1949, Kawakami batted .330 with 36 homers and was named to the Best 9 team.
