This is the first time we've found more than a few examples from this set, and the ones we found before were not in decent condition. These beauties are in great shape. We are very excited to have obtained what is most likely a full set of these small cards. The cards were probably included as a present with a youth magazine and originally came in uncut sheets. These cards are hand cut from the sheets.
The most special element of this set is the inclusion of three Hawaiian players who have rarely been seen on cards. The three players are Tomoharu Kai, Katsuji Kojima and Tsutomu Yaji. There is also a card of former US Negro Leaguer John Brittian. There are 17 Japan Hall of Famers in the set including a card of Shigeru Makino (famous coach) as a player. Also HOFers-Tetsuharu Kawakami (God of Batting), Hiroshi Oshita (Kawakami's rival), Hideo Fujimoto (all time career ERA leader), Makoto Kozuru (1st Japanese to hit 50 HRs), Takehiko Bessho (won 300 games), Fumio Fujimura (Mr. Tigers), Kaoru Betto (Gentleman of Baseball), Shigeru Sugishita, Katsumi Shiraishi, Ryohei Hasegawa, Michio Nishizawa, Juzo Sanada, Futoshi Nakanishi, Yukio Nishimoto, Atsushi Aramaki, and Tokuji Iida.
