Tetsuharu Kawakami was the best hitter of his era (1938-1958). He began his career during the early days of Japan Pro Baseball, and retired as an active player as the era of Oh and Nagashima was just beginning. As befitting a player of such stature, numerous pieces of Kawakami memorabilia were issued during his playing days. One of these collector items is this colorful plate, produced by YMK China. It is unique to the hobby. We have never seen another example.
