The JC 5g Sadaharu Oh Series consists of 96 cards. Cards from this series are among the toughest Calbee cards of any year to find, as they were printed in much smaller quantities than normal.

Card #88 depicts Sadaharu Oh as a member of the Waseda High School team. He is seen pitching for Waseda in 1958, the year before his Japan Pro Baseball debut. Headline text on the back of the card describes him as "Unparalleled Hero" and "Koshien #1 Star", referring to the 1957 High School Baseball Tournament at Koshien.
