Calbee Home Run cards have front images that are the same as one of the regular cards in a given set, but the backs differ in that they are instructions for sending in the home run card to receive a premium. In this case, the owner of the card could choose an album to hold Calbee cards, or a bromide card from the set that is now cataloged as 1973 JF 2b Large Calbee Premiums. Most Calbee home run cards were redeemed, and as a result, either have a redemption stamp on the back, or redemption marks in pen or pencil. This card was unredeemed, so it does not have either of these blemishes.
This card has the same front as 1973 JF 2a card #12, which is one of the first six Calbee Sadaharu Oh cards (#7-12) ever produced by Calbee.
