Only two copies of each of these cards are known!

The cards were issued as an uncut pair in the May 1971 issue of Boken Oh magazine. These blank back beauties are quite similar in design to the slightly more common JBR 100a cards issued a decade earlier. The JBR 100b cards are a bit smaller than the earlier issue.

1971 was one of many banner years for the Yomiuri Giants and for the O-N Cannon (the nickname bestowed on Oh and Nagashima). The Giants won the Central League pennant and Japan Series for the seventh year in a row. Nagashima led the league in batting average. Oh was the leader in homers and RBIs. Nagashima was named league MVP. Both were named to the Best 9 team.

Size: Each card is 2 1/2" x 3 1/2". The uncut pair is 5" x 3 1/2".

Condition: There are surface creases in three of the four corners, and each corner has a touch. Also a minor crease at top center. Images and gloss are still like new. Overall G/Vg.
