During the late 1950s and early 1960s, the Fujiya Gum Co. was well known for their baseball caramel and baseball gum premiums. There are numerous such card sets listed in Japanese Baseball Cards Checklist & Price Guide, Vintage Edition 3.0. Here we have a package that once contained sticks of Fujiya Gum. In our 35 year history, we have never before had such a gum package in our possession. There is no information on it that discusses an associated baseball card set. However, most Fujiya Gum packages in general do not have a baseball motif or the word baseball in the product title.

The most commonly seen baseball item related to Fujiya Baseball Gum is the 1964 JF 3 Fujiya Gum set of 10 large size baseball cards. We are guessing that there may be some relationship between this package and the JF 3 set, but we are not certain. In any case, this is an opportunity to add a vintage Japanese chewing gum package with a baseball themed design.
