Sugoroku is a dice game played on a paper game "board". This sugoroku has 10 squares, all but two containing a realistic looking color drawing of a Japan Pro Baseball star or stars. With each roll of the dice, a player's piece is moved around the board until he reaches the center and is declared the winner. Sugoroku depicting various themes (not just baseball) were quite popular, especially during the late 1940s and early 1950s. Players depicted on this sugoroku are (listed by square number):

Interestingly, Atsushi Aramaki did not enter Japan Pro Baseball until 1950. This image shows Aramaki as a member of the Beppu Hoshino team which won the 1949 Japan Intercity Baseball Tournament. Aramaki, the pitcher with the best fastball in Japan at the time, was known as the Bob Feller of Japan Pro Baseball.
