Last year, when Japanese Baseball Cards Checklist
& Price Guide, Vintage Edition 3.0 was published, we knew of 30
different cards in the JBR 9a set.
However, the set is no longer deemed to be complete at 30 cards. Recently, after finding the collection
offered here, the number of cards known in the set has increased a bit. There are a few unique cards on offer in this
lot. The cards are a bit larger than the
standard modern U.S. baseball card size, and they offer sharp photographic
player images.
Thirteen cards featuring Hall of Famers appear in
this lot: Noboru Aota (2 diff.), Shigeru
Chiba, Shosei Go (Taiwan), Hideo Fujimoto (Korea), Tetsuharu Kawakami, Makoto
Kozuru (2 diff.), Hiroshi Oshita, Juzo Sanada, Junzo Sekine (Rookie), Katsumi
Shiraishi and Shigeru Sugishita.
