The JBR 98 set contains six different Shigeo Nagashima rookie cards. This is another example that we have not offered in more than 20 years. We have seen this card even less often than the JBR 98 card in the previous lot.

Nagashima, a third baseman, played for 17 seasons for the Yomiuri Giants. He was named to the Central League Best 9 team after every season! He was voted Central League MVP on five occasions. He won six batting titles and five RBI titles. He was often compared defensively to Brooks Robinson. No wonder he is known as Mr. Giants.
