The cards of the JBR 62 set were originally attached to the inside back pages of Third Year Elementary School Magazine in three uncut sheets. The cards were a New Year's gift to readers of the January 1960 issue. In addition to the baseball cards, five sumo cards and various cards of entertainers were included in the set. This is a rarely seen early card of Mr. Giants, Shigeo Nagashima. It has a scarcity factor of R4, signifying that 10 or fewer copies of this card are known in the hobby. In 1960, Nagashima led all Central League hitters with a .334 batting average.
