This one page double sided pamphlet was printed by the Mainichi Shimbun (Newspaper). While we have seen a number of items relating to the 1955 Yankees Japan Tour fairly often, we rarely see this pamphlet. The only other example that we have
ever auctioned was hammered down in 2005. The Yankee roster and the rosters of the various Japanese teams that participated in the Tour are printed in Japanese above the scorecard. A Yankee team photo is featured on the back
page. The interior roster/scorecard pages contain pencil writing denoting the batting orders and partial line score for the game of 11/3/55 at Koshien Stadium against the All Japan team, won by the Yankees 7-3 . All time pitching great
Masaichi Kaneda started for the Japanese team and was roughed up badly. Billy Martin homered.
Size: 5 1/8" x 7" folded as shown in scan #1.
Condition: There is one vertical manufacturer's fold which makes this a four page pamphlet. Apparently, the original owner folded it again vertically at some point. The scorecard is partially scored. Overall Vg.
