Sugishita frustrated Japanese batters with his devastating curveball during the 1950s, finishing his career with a record of 215 wins against only 123 losses and a 2.23 ERA. He has signed his name on the inside front cover of this book in
traditional black brush pen, along with an inscription for a Mr. Yamamoto. The book is entitled, Shigeru Sugishita Story, and was written by Iemoto Kaneko. It is a first edition, published in 1955, making it a mid-career biography. There are
a number of black and white photos. Hardbound with dust jacket.
