We have never seen this card before, but we know it was produced in 1950 because Kawakami is wearing a Giants uniform that was worn from 1947 to 1950, and the text, "Central League" is printed at lower left in Japanese along with "Giants" and "Kawakami". 1950 was the first season when Japan Pro Baseball was divided into the two leagues, Central and Pacific. The "God of Batting" is seen here fielding. 1950 was a typical Kawakami season, as he batted .313 with 29 homers and 119 RBI. Blank backed.
