All JCM 44 cards feature Ted Williams on the back, but only 10% of them include the number 9 along with Williams' image. This is one of the lucky 10%. The player found on the front is Kazuto Tsuruoka, a member of Japan's Hall of Fame as both a player and manager. Tsuruoka, a right handed hitting infielder, was named to the all star team in each of his eight professional seasons with the Hawks. However, he was best known for his managerial skills. He managed in Japan Pro Baseball for a record 23 consecutive seasons, leading the Hawks to 11 pennants and two Japan Series championships.
