Here is the only example of this giant sized card (no pun intended) of the fiery Hall of Famer known to exist. We assume that it was originally a first prize winner card on an uncatalogued and unknown display sheet which features cards
from the New York Giants' Tour of Japan. Durocher piloted the Giants to an 11-1-1 record during the Tour while facing various Japan Pro Baseball opposition. We do not know whether his legendary temper caused him to be ejected from
any games during the Tour, but he must have been agitated when Hoyt Wilhelm allowed a late inning run in their only defeat. What we do know is that the following season, Durocher enjoyed his most successful year as a manager,
piloting the Giants to a 97-57 record and a World Series Championship. The two line Japanese inscription on the card front reads "New York Giants Leo Durocher Manager". This must be the rarest card of Leo Durocher ever produced.
