Born into the distinguished family of his grandfather, Baron Denzaburo Fujita in 1911, young Mitsuhiko Fujita was given access to many areas of baseball fields which were closed to the general public. With camera in hand, Fujita often went onto the field to photograph his subjects. He would then have the images developed within hours, and would return to have the prints signed on the very same day. Shigeru Mizuhara has Hall of Fame credentials as both a player and manager. Following a stellar career at Keio U., he became the starting third baseman for the Yomiuri Giants from 1936 to 1942, during which time he was considered the league's best. While fighting in World War II, he was captured and spent four years as a POW in Siberia. Upon his return, he managed the Giants to eight pennants between 1950 and 1960. Autographed in Japanese with a fountain pain.

Size: 3 5/16" x 4 2/3"

Condition: The autograph grades 9 out of 10. The photo contains some crinkling and creasing along the right edge, but the corners and edges are relatively sharp. Extra paper, missing paper, and glue stains from previous mounting in a photo album.
