Kazuo Momose (1908-1998) became a famous baseball player in the mid-1920s, when he starred as a catcher for national power Matsumoto Commercial in the National High School Baseball championship at Koshien. Between the years of 1924-1929, his team finished in the final eight or better six times, culminating in a national championship in Spring 1928. This autographed photo emanates from that period. Momose followed up his stellar high school career at Rikkio University, where he starred for several years. He never played pro baseball, entering the world of business after graduation. The autographed photo offered here comes from the renowned Fujita collection of autographed photos. Momose has signed the photo in English, along with the notation, "catcher at Koshien." Signed in blue fountain pen.
