The JCM 68 set is somewhat scarcer than most color menko of the era. This exquisite uncut sheet depicts 20 members of Japan Pro Baseball. Foremost among them is Tadashi Sugiura (HOF) (third row center). This is a rookie card of the former Rikkio U. teammate of Shigeo Nagashima who, unlike Nagashima, spurned the Yomiuri Giants to sign with the Nankai Hawks. He was Pacific League ROY in 1958, winning 27 games and fashioning a 2.05 ERA. The following season, Sugiura dazzled Japan with a 38-4 won/loss record and miniscule 1.41 ERA. Other HOFers include Masaaki Koyama (320 wins) (top row, second from right), Shunichi Amachi (2nd row right), Kihachi Enomoto (3rd row left) and Motoshi Fujita (bottom row left).

Size: Each card is 1 13/16" x 3". The sheet is 8 15/16" x 12".

Condition: The sheet is in outstanding Nm condition. Nearly all cards would be Nm/Mt or Mint if cut from the sheet.
