Number 16 (Sebango 16) was a black & white Japanese film directed by Eisuke Takizawa and produced by the Nikkatsu Company. The movie was released in January 1957, The movie details the life story of Yomiuri Giants superstar, Tetsuharu Kawakami. In honor of the film’s release, the company produced a two card set. Both cards are offered here. On each card, "Tetsuharu Kawakami story" is printed in Japanese within a rectangle and "#16" is printed in large Japanese text. Lot 122 in this auction is a poster produced to promote the same film.

Size: Each card is 1 3/8" x 2 3/4".

Condition: The card pictured at left is Ex/Mt to Nm. The card at right would be in similar condition, but is clipped at the upper left border.
