This scarce set is designated as R4 in the Japanese Baseball Card Checklist & Price Guide, 2nd Vintage Edition, meaning that fewer than 10 copies of most cards are known. The set is unusual in that all eight players depicted are Japan Hall of Fame members. In fact, this group of all stars arguably consists of the eight best hitters of the era. No pitchers appear in the set. Here, we present the set in uncut sheet form. The players included are: (left column, top to bottom) Noboru Aota, Makoto Kozuru, Kaoru Betto and Shigeru Chiba (right column, top to bottom) Fumio Fujimura, Hiroshi Oshita, Tetsuharu Kawakami and Michio Nishizawa. This is a very high grade set for type.

Size: Each card is 1 3/4" x 2 5/8". The uncut sheet is 3 1/2" x 10 1/2".

Condition: Would be Nm/Mt, but there is minor foxing on the back of several cards.
