These four cards in two uncut pairs were originally third prize winner cards on a display sheet. The immortal Shigeo Nagashima is featured as a rookie on two cards in this lot--one of each pair. On the upper panel, he is paired with fellow Hall of Famer Hiroshi Oshita. Oshita, a native of Taiwan, was playing in his second-to-last season. Japan's Mr. Baseball, Nagashima, was just beginning. On the lower panel, Nagashima shares the billing with Minoru Kamata of the Hanshin Tigers. In 1958, the 19-year-old Kamata was in his second year of 16 seasons in Japan Pro baseball. Extra paper and glue appears on the back of both panels, as they were originally attached to a display sheet. All uncut pairs produced have such added paper and glue.

Size: Each card is 1 13/16" x 3". Each uncut pair is 3 5/8" x 3".

Condition: Both cards Nm/Mt to Mt but contain extra paper and glue on the back from originally being attached by the manufacturer to a display sheet. This is true of all JCM 33a uncut pairs. There is no glue or extra paper on the Nagashima card with menko number 890018. If cut into an individual card, it would be Nm/Mt to Mt.
