Over the past 25 years, we have offered well over 50 lots containing large sized masks of Japanese baseball players. Of all these lots, this is only the fourth time that we have had the pleasure of offering a JDM 7 mask. The set has been given a scarcity designation of R4 in the Japanese Baseball Card Checklist and Price Guide, Vintage Edition (less than ten copies known for most cards). Offered here is a mask card of Hall of Famer Kaoru Betto. This is the first time that we have ever offered a JDM 7 mask of Betto at auction. The eye holes have been punched out. The nose remains intact.
