This book was a premium included with the April 1956 edition of Manga King magazine. It is a pictorial biography of Japan's legendary pitcher, Eiji Sawamura. Sawamura became a national hero at age 17, when he struck out Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx and Charlie Gehringer in succession during the 1934 U.S. Major League All Star Tour of Japan. The next year, he joined the Yomiuri Giants and then alternated at various times between military duty and a career in baseball, until he became a casualty of war in 1944. In his limited career with the Giants, Sawamura won 63 games and lost only 22, with a lifetime ERA of 1.74. The Sawamura Award (Japanese Cy Young) is named in his honor.
