This baseball was signed by 20 members of the Meiji University baseball team. Two signatures, Shigeo Kameda and Mitsuo Fukuyama are in English, with the rest signed in Japanese. The most prominent signature is of Japan Baseball Hall of Fame member Masao Yoshida (upper left image, signature second from left). Yoshida first came to national prominence in Japan when he led Chukyo Commercial Middle School to three consecutive summer National High School Baseball Tournament championships from 1931 to 1933. His 23 lifetime wins have never been approached, and stand as the unassailable all time record. Yoshida then pitched for Meiji U. from 1934-1938. Meiji won four consecutive Tokyo Big Six University League championships during his time at Meiji. Yoshida never played professional baseball. Thus, this ball with Yoshida's signature is very highly collectable. Official Meiji U. baseball. Signed in blue fountain pen.

Size: Regular baseball size

Condition: The signatures range from 7 to 9 out of 10. The ball ranges from off-white to tan with a few nicks and abrasions.
