One of the several Hawaiians that made their Japan Pro Baseball debuts in 1952 was Tsutomu Yaji. Like Katsuji Kojima, Yaji was a graduate of
Farrington High School and the Hawaii Red Sox. 1952 was his only year in Japan. A second baseman/shortstop, he appeared in 55 games for
the Nishitetsu Lions. Fewer than five copies of this card are known to exist in the hobby. All JGA 33 cards were originally inserted into Yakyu
Shonen Magazine as 20 card uncut sheets. Therefore, all single cards found in the hobby today from this set are hand cut. This is a perfect
card for anyone who collects Hawaiian players.
