Mihara had an illustrious career at Waseda U. as a second baseman. He then participated in the 1934 U.S. All Star Tour of Japan with Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. With the
advent of Japan Pro Baseball in 1936, he joined the Tokyo Giants. After the war he managed five teams. Known as the "Magic Manager", Mihara's teams won six pennants and
four Japan Series titles. He won championships with three different franchises! In addition to signing his name, Mihara also added the Japanese equivalent of "road" in
the center of the shikishi. Signed with a traditional Japanese calligraphy brush on a special, gold colored shikishi. Mihara also added a personal hand stamp just below
his signature.
