Meiji U. outfielder Kaichi Masu is shown on the card at left, while Fall 1930 batting champ, Shigemi Sato of Waseda U. is depicted on the card at right. Masu went on to
play for the Nagoya Dragons from 1936 to 1943, also serving as manager during four seasons, Sato never played pro ball. The Masu card is from the recently catalogued
Realistic Drawing menko set. The Sato card is most likely from the recently catalogued Red Sky menko set, but is off-centered left to right. As a result, we cannot see
whether the card normally has a menko number along the left border, as do all cards from that set. Blank backed.
Size: Each card is 1 3/4" in diameter.
Condition: Masu--Would be Ex/Mt but has some orange crayon writing on the blank back. Sato--Vg.
