Jintan is known for both their baseball and automobile cards. Both types feature cards shaped like sticks of gum. The cards were originally found in Jintan gum packs. The auto cards were produced in two series of 60 cards. All cards in this lot are from the first series. Like their
baseball counterparts, these cards were part of a redemption prize promotion (info on card backs). There are six groups of 10 cards (A through F). One card in each group is an extreme short print in order to prevent many prizes from being awarded. The A group depicts Japanese
cars. Groups B-F feature American, English, German, Italian and rarely seen Communist Bloc cars. Marques such as Ferrari, Maserati, Mercedes, BMW, Ford, VW, etc. are represented.
