Lot Description  

Heibon Magazine routinely inserted bromides of various sizes during the 1950s. Most of the cards featured entertainers, but occasionally baseball cards would appear. Based on Nagashima's uniform, the card could have been produced anytime between 1958 (Nagashima's rookie season) and 1960. Nagashima was known as a clutch player. His most famous feat during the early part of his career came in 1959 when he hit a sayonara (walk off) home run to win the first game ever attended by Emperor Hirohito.
