From 1927 to 1930, Miyatake was a superstar for Keio University, both on the mound and at first base. During his college career, he won 39 games, losing only six. At one point, he won 15 consecutive decisions. He also had more career home runs than any Big Six University player in history until his record was eclipsed by Shigeo Nagashima. Miyatake is one of the few stars of Big Six University baseball's golden era who also played Japan Pro Baseball. Unfortunately, his career was in decline at that point, and neither his pitching nor his batting as a pro were particularly stellar. This is only the second time that we have seen this uncatalogued bromide. The card depicts Miyatake as a pitcher for Keio U. Blank backed.
