This card is from the earliest baseball karuta set we have ever encountered. At present, this is one of only a few known baseball cards of shortstop Makino. A former team captain at Keio U., Makino played for the Japan All Star Team that played the US Major League All Star
team with Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig in 1934. Blank backed.
