Arito was Rookie of the Year in 1969 and played his entire career with the Lotte Orions, retiring in 1986. He finished his career with 2,057 hits and is a member of the Meikyukai (Golden Players Club). He was a four time Golden Glove award winner and played in 13 consecutive All-Star games.
