This shikishi (traditional Japanese autograph board) was signed by five members of the Yomiuri Giants in late 1959 at Yanagita Clothing Store at Ginza (see current image of store). We know this because the information is inscribed on the back in Japanese. The fact that it was Oh's rookie year is also written on the back. The very early Oh signature type confirms this information.

Not only did Sadaharu Oh sign this shikishi, but so did Mr. Giants, Shigeo Nagashima. Nagashima was in his second year with the Giants at that time. Other signers are Shigeru Fujio, Masataka Tsuchiya and Kazuhiko Sakazaki.

The Oh signature is particularly bold.
