In 1929, the University of Michigan Wolverines baseball team journeyed to Japan, playing eight games between August 31st and September 18th against top Japanese university opponents. Michigan cruised to a 6-2 record in those
contests. Here we have a Mizuno Official University League baseball signed by 18 members of the Michigan team. The most prized signature is that of Bill McAfee. McAfee, a pitcher, went 3-0 during the Tour, and by the
next season was pitching for the Chicago Cubs. McAfee later played for the Braves, Senators and Browns. He passed away in 1958 at the age of only 50. Signed in blue fountain pen.
Size: Regular baseball size.
Condition: The ball is Ex. The signatures average 6 to 7 out of 10.
