This is the first time that we have ever had the pleasure to offer an example of this Sadaharu Oh facsimile autographed pennant at auction. In our Auction #28 (July 2006) we auctioned a pennant identical to this one, except that the Auction #28 pennant contains an autograph of Masaichi Kaneda. Therefore, we assume that a series of several different pennants was produced. Kaneda was a member of the Yomiuri Giants from 1965 to 1969. His best season with the Giants by far was 1967. Therefore, our best guess is that the Sadaharu Oh pennant offered here was produced in 1967. The pennant was most likely sold a Korakuen Stadium, the home of the Giants in the 1960s.
