During Shigeo Nagashima's career, numerous sports magazines and children's magazines inserted various furoku (gifts) within their pages that honored Japan's greatest baseball hero. Often, these furoku were cardboard baseball cards, postcards, etc. Here we have a postcard that appeared in a 1963 issue of Manga Oh (Manga King) magazine. Nagashima's name and team are printed in Japanese to the left of his image. The card was originally issued bound into the magazine, hence the row of tiny holes at the top. This is only the second time we have been able to offer this card at auction.
