Collectors of the Hinomaru Caramel Tachibana Seika cards were able to redeem the cards for prizes. The collector needed to affix three cards to a redemption sheet which already contained an image of a fourth card. The sheet with added cards was then sent to the company for redemption. Depending on the number of completed sheets and total points amassed by the collector, he or she might receive anything from a box of caramel for 20 points, to the grand prize of a junior typewriter (3,000 points).

This "service sheet" as it was called has the image of a Sadaharu Oh card printed in the lower left corner. While we have handled numerous Hinomaru redemption sheets over the decades, this is only the third we have seen with the image of a Sadaharu Oh card printed on it. This sheet is in better condition than the previous examples.
