Kaoru Betto is pictured here wearing the All Japan Team uniform used by the Japan Team against all touring MLB teams from 1951 to 1956. However, of the five MLB Tours during that period, Betto played for the All Japan Team only in 1951. He participated in seven of the 16 games, batting .303. Moreover, he slugged one of the only two home runs hit by Japanese players during the 16 game tour.
This card includes Betto's facsimile autograph. Only two examples are known in the hobby. It is thought to have been issued originally as a premium card in a magazine.
Blank back card
Size: 6 1/2" x 10 1/4"
Condition: Vg. The card was probably issued in a magazine. The right border is uneven as a result of the card being poorly cut when extracted from the publication.
