The three Giants Hall of Fame members are seen here wearing their 1950 Yomiuri Giants uniforms. In 1950, Aota batted .332, Kawakami batted .313 and Chiba batted .290. Nevertheless, this was one of only two 1950s seasons in which the Giants did not win the Central League pennant. Aota is at left, with Kawakami in the center and Chiba at right.

The card was issued as a first prize winner card for an unknown associated bromide set. As such, the mark on the blank back is a vestige of the card having originally been issued attached to the product display sheet.
