The 1952 JGA 38 Osato Gangu Color Game Card set has a scarcity factor of R5 according to Japanese Baseball Cards Checklist & Price Guide, Vintage Edition 3.0 by Gary Engel. This means that five or fewer copies of each card in the set are known. Obviously, there aren't many complete sets. No sets appear in the PSA registry.

This set consists of cards that were found in the original unopened game box. Incredibly, this box had lain unopened for over 70 years! Upon the opening of the box, the cards were immediately sent to PSA. Most cards received grades of PSA 6 or PSA 7, with a few 8s and several lower than 6. The average of the grades is 6.2, which would be Ex/Mt to Ex/Mt+. The grading breakdown for HOFers and other special cards is as follows: PSA 8--Chiba, Hirota (Hawaii) (Rookie). PSA 7--Betto, Aramaki, Mizuhara, Kawakami, Matsuki. PSA 6--Wakabayashi (Hawaii), Yonamine (Hawaii), Aota, Bessho, Fujimura, Tsuruoka. PSA 5--Iida, Nidegawa. Kojima (Hawaii) PSA 4.5--Go. PSA 4--Nakao.

If you are looking for a rare vintage Japanese baseball complete set in color with many cards in high grade, you can't go wrong with this set.
