This game set is noted for the 16 cards of San Francisco Seals players included in the set. This inclusion is no doubt related to the highly successful San Francisco Seals Tour of Japan that occurred in 1949. 13 of 16 Seals cards are included in this lot: Brooks Holder, Dario Lodigliani, Jack Tobin, Milo Candini, Dick Lajeskie, Gene Brocker, Frank Shofner, Jim Westlake, Dick Steinhauer, Al Lien, Dick Briskey, Roy Jarvis and Reno Cheso. Nine Japan Hall of Famers are also included: Victor Starffin (Russia), Tetsuharu Kawakami (God of Batting), Fumio Fujimura (Mr. Tigers), Katsumi Shiraishi, Tokuji Iida, Michinori Tsubouchi, Michio Nishizawa, Hiroshi Nakao, and Shigeru Sugishita. Also included is a card of Canadian Eiichiro Yoshie.
