Mineo Nakamura was a star pitcher for Meiji U. from 1924 to 1929. In 1928, during the spring and fall seasons, he won 13 Big Six league games. This is quite an impressive feat in that Meiji played only 25 league games during that period. After graduation, he played for the Tokyo team in 1930. Nakamura never played pro baseball.
