Lot Description  

The Detroit Tigers toured Japan following the 1962 season, posting a 14-2-2 record against Japan Pro Baseball opposition. This buckle was given to members of the press. The back of the buckle is engraved with the inscription, "Japan U.S. baseball match--Mainichi Newspaper Co., 1962". The Mainichi Newspaper was the Tour's sponsor.
