1967 Kabaya-Leaf is one of the most prized sets in the world of Japanese baseball card collecting. The first “American style” Japanese baseball card set ever produced, it is also the only major set manufactured during the Yomiuri Giants' V9 period of nine consecutive Japan Series titles. Fewer than 150 copies of each card have survived to the present day.
Toshimitsu Suetsugu, a right fielder, played for the Yomiuri Giants from 1965 to 1977. His first nine seasons corresponded to the Giants' illustrious V9 period. He was a five time Central League All-Star.
