Not much is known about this rare card of the Yomiuri Giants icon, Shigeo Nagashima. We are speculating that this set depicts various television stars, and may not include any baseball players other than Nagashima. Shigeo Nagashima's surname and "home run" appear on the front, along with a fairly decent likeness of his face. The back contains three quiz clues. #1 clue is that he attended Rikkio University. #2 is that he is a member of the Yomiuri Giants team. #3 states that he is "home run king". Nagashima led the Japanese Central League in homers only twice (1958 and 1961). He is seen here wearing what appears to be a 1959 uniform. So, we would guess that the set was printed in 1959.
