The JF 40 Cisco Caramel Silver Border cards have the same design (front and back) as regular JF 40 cards, except the the color scheme is different. While the base JF 40 set cards have white front borders and blue borders on the back, the JF 40 Silver Border cards have a silver border on the front and red borders on the back. The regular JF 40 cards are difficult enough to find. The several JF 40 types with different color schemes than the regular border cards are nearly impossible!

Presented here is a JF 40 Silver Border card of Masao Morishita. You can compare this card with the regular Morishita card of the previous lot in order to see the many differences. Masao Morishita (also known as Nobushige Morishita) was a speedy, slick fielding infielder who played for the Nankai Hawks from 1952-1966. He was named to the Pacific League Best 9 team in 1954, and again in 1961, both times as a second baseman. After retiring, he spent a number of years as a coach in Japan Pro Baseball, and eventually managed the Brother Elephants of the Taiwanese League to the league pennant.
