Japanese Baseball Cards Checklist & Price Guide, Vintage Edition 3.0 states that the JBR 48 set has a scarcity factor of R5, indicating that five or fewer copies of each card are known to exist. The JBR 48 set was issued to commemorate the 1934 U.S. All-Star Tour of Japan, featuring Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. Both American and Japanese participants are featured in the 23+ card set. We think that there is at least one more undiscovered card, which would bring the complete set to 24 cards.

To date, PSA has graded only five JBR 48 cards. This is the only JBR 48 Connie Mack that PSA has ever graded. The winner of this card will own one of the scarcest cards of Connie Mack ever issued.
