The Japanese text within the circle on the front of the postcard reads, "Together with Oh". The text at the bottom states that it is an insert in the August edition of Elementary School 2nd Year Magazine. However, no year is printed on the item. Oh appears to be wearing his 1959 Yomiuri Giants road uniform, but we cannot be 100% certain, as much of the uniform is covered up by the presence of the child. However, a 1959 issue date is truly our best guess. Possibly, one day we will find a copy of the magazine in order to know for sure. We do know that a five yen stamp was to be put on the postcard for mailing, and that five yen stamps were used on postcards in Japan from 1951-1965.
This postcard, like many others of the era, was originally bound into the magazine on the left side, and was subsequently removed with a scissors by an owner of the magazine.
Size: 5" x 3 1/2"
